Thanks to Pat and Barbara for the challenges today! It's still spring, despite that it feels like summer and people are anxious for summer, and May, so I thought I'd feature a picture of me and my beautiful Mama.
Yes, it is still printemps (spring) and I've been wanting to use this spring set from CS. I've also been enjoying more simple stamping lately, emboss resist or stenciling and the like. Stamped everything in the twilight, which is a very dark blue, clear embossed, then sprayed with water and added the Pixie Sparkle. Then sprayed with the vanilla custard. We all know in Wisconsin that true vanilla custard is rather yellow in color...all that delicious butter fat. We haven't had to deal with too much slush in the shoes this spring, unless you're further north. Slush is gone!!!!!!!!!

Gotta be honest, never felt like whistling while there was slush in my shoe. But have high regards for those who do! This is a beautiful card, and the picture behind it, who are those cute girls?

Music, keyboard, birds - what's not to love about this. What a lovely collage stamp. The sentiment made me grin. Slush in my shoes is not something I am fond of, it would have to be a VERY Springy day to induce a whistle under those circumstances. I wondered if it was you in the photo - thanks for sharing!
My dad and my full uncle were both teachers, and most often when I was asked if I was any relative of - insert maiden name here - it was one or the other of them that the enquirer knew. But a half-uncle who had emigrated to Australia had been a photographer here and once only I was asked was I a relative of his, by someone who had their childhood studio portrait photos on the wall with his name as the photographer.

Oh, I love this image (have it and was not sure who made it).... Great addition of spray and love the sentiment. And, slush- don't love it quite as much if I step in it with non-waterproof shoes....! LOL City girl and like my feet dry! Beautiful picture of you and your Mother!!!

Lovely picture of you and your mother. Great collage card, too, with a fun sentiment. I, for one, don't mind slush in my shoes if I'm out walking. I aim straight for the centre of a puddle if cycling. Of course, it's only for leisure when a warm bath and cup of cocoa await my return home.

Beautiful card and beautiful photo! We've had a really nice summery spring here too...right up until this weekend. Now it's 60 and rainy. The sun will come out again on Tuesday. Bummer. Guess I'll just have to spend my long weekend crafting.
