This is for our Teapot Tickle and Pat wants us to use birds on our cards. I went with a gel print that I had in my stash. It was made by experimenting with alcohol inks as my base and adding more on top of a stencil...I then finished with a shiny/opal white acrylic paint before I did my print. I used one of my small gel plates for this...it's a 3" circle..
My stamp is one I carved a few years ago and did two prints, fussy cut and added to the base. TFL and thanks Pat for the fun challenge.

Those colours - this couldn't be anybody's card but yours (though I thought Jen's might be yours as I worked through the gallery). Your little gel print piece is AMAZING. That's quite some detailed carving in the bird, too - well done you!

Polly, these gorgeous colours drew me in first, being in my favourite tones, but then I saw the fabulous gel plate bg - it's certainly got the WOW factor! A lovely card with the sweet birds for a very lucky teapotter! BTW, you may recognise the bird image on my card~

I must have flown the coop or dreamed I'd left a comment....
Let's get together and carve stamps...I might be able to master the x's and o's! Will definitely need a lesson from you! love that bird especially the tail feather. With the limited color palette, everything has such a balanced weight and focuses right on that cool gel print.
