If I could travel, I want to see more of my own country. I've never gone further west than Colorado. I'd like to see the amber waves of grain, the purple mountains majesty, the fruited plains. I'd like to dip my toes into the Pacific. I'd like to see the Grand Canyon. As you can see, I have a long wish list. Then there is Ireland, the UK, and Italy.
This is also for WCW50, following a video by Makocchino. I didn't try the second one yet. I enjoyed this painting, added a little bit of metallic wc at the bottom for shine and depth.

Very cool sentiment and I love your water-colored wheat. Great idea to do the metallic paint too. I want to travel to all those places too and up where you live. Going to New Mexico next month if all stays the same - haven't been there in years and I know it will be fabulous. Many hugz. You did the FS challenge proud with your super well done cases/cards. I am so happy to see you found so much inspiration and I loved each card. Hugz

I can't imagine the scale of corn and wheat fields in the US, though once seen since pretty big ones in France. I think you did a great job of capturing the feel here. I hope at least some of your dream destinations get realised.

I'm so glad that somebody named their card "Amber Waves of Grain". I was singing to myself the whole time I was painting! If Southern New England is on the list of places you would like to go, make sure to stop by and see me :0)
Your painting came out fantastic, Jean! I love your fluffy wheat!

I really love the depth and texture in your piece. Like you, I had places I wanted to visit but was too busy working or taking care of my daughter to venture out. I had the chance to join some family on a nice trip to Italy and then, Ireland and it was so wonderful. Don't wait. I hope you get to see more of the world. It is an enriching experience.
