Chris is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us such a beautiful combo: Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Coastal Cabana. The dessert option is "stitches."
I made this card first, then realized No Dessert! Horrors! (So I made another one.) I wanted to try out the new goodies from my Hero Arts kit of the month, mainly the stencils that are designed to layer and rotate. I used Distress Oxide inks in colors close to the challenge colors for my background. It was made with one stencil rotated once, two colors; then a second stencil with the Coastal Cabana color on top. I liked the result very much, but it was a little busy. I decided to cover most of it with a lacy-edge die to frame my three butterflies.
I used, for the first and last time, the Tim Holtz Specialty Stamping Paper for the butterflies. Enough Said!
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!
