This week we are celebrating the fun Gallery of Mary Ellen (cre8iveme), our Featured Stamper. I loved the happy tropical feel of this great card: Floral Aloha by cr8iveme at Splitcoaststampers
Naturally, I don't have a large beautiful hibiscus bloom that can command the space, but Mary Ellen's card did remind me of this whimsical tropical flowers set that I haven't used in ages. I initially stamped white cs with the large bg stamp in blue and over stamped individual flowers from the matching set in green. I was really enjoying everyone's cards with this week's sketch so I cut the cs into three strips and ended with a small leftover strip. Unfortunately, I cut the one edge crooked and my attempts to even it made the matting just a bit too narrow, so I put a band of green across the panel to help camouflage it a bit. Since I had that small leftover piece, I added that too. Topped it off with two flowers from the set and dropped green Nuvo in the center of the top flower. I kept Mary Ellen's Aloha greeting albeit much smaller.
Congratulations Mary Ellen on being selected this week's Featured Stamper. You have a great Gallery with much to inspire. I hope you enjoy the week and I hope everyone here has an enjoyable week as well. Aloha!

I thought that was DP until I read your writeup! Beautiful colours; I had a dress like that when I was in grade 8, ha, ha! Love your use of the sketch. Wonderful card!

What a wonderful background you created with your stamps .... I really love those colors and the two blossoms you added are just beautiful!
