This card is for the Teapot Party and for Vickie who is having some health issues.
Vickie likes pink and Asian themed cards. I have some Japanese washi papers that I bought in Japan a couple of years ago and this was the last pink coloured one left. I decided to go with a card that showed most of the beautiful design and gold.
After die cutting the butterfly in the centre of the paper, I decided to also die cut a panel of gold CS. The gold butterfly was inlaid back into the panel and the Japanese paper butterfly plonked on top. I also die cut 2 other butterflies out of other Japanese papers. Added bling and done.
I decided not to stamp a sentiment for the front so Vickie could enjoy all of the paper as the gold is so beautiful. A sentiment was stamped inside and more butterflies.
TFL. Happy day

That is a lovely washi paper which you made into a fabulous card, Jayney! I like how you put the gold underneath and inlaid the die-cut butterfly, so the gold is peeking out but not quite - love the effect!

Fabulous card, Jayne. Ooh, the paper is just so beautiful and so is the butterfly. I think this will be a treasure for your recipient. Maybe it will even be framed.

Wow, Jayne, you had the perfect paper and what a show stopper that paper is too! I like how you did your butterflies and good call leaving the sentiment for the inside.

Oh Wow this is just gorgeous. Pretty, pretty paper. I don’t know if I could have cut into it. Think it would stay in my too pretty to use stash. Just heard that there won’t be any international travel till 2024 at the earliest so Japan seems a very long way off for me now. Stay safe over West and watch out for the remnants of that cyclone.
