This card is for the Teapot Party and for Vickie who is having some health issues.
Vickie likes pink and Asian themed cards. I have some Japanese washi papers that I bought in Japan a couple of years ago and this was the last pink coloured one left. I decided to go with a card that showed most of the beautiful design and gold.
After die cutting the butterfly in the centre of the paper, I decided to also die cut a panel of gold CS. The gold butterfly was inlaid back into the panel and the Japanese paper butterfly plonked on top. I also die cut 2 other butterflies out of other Japanese papers. Added bling and done.
I decided not to stamp a sentiment for the front so Vickie could enjoy all of the paper as the gold is so beautiful. A sentiment was stamped inside and more butterflies.
TFL. Happy day

Brilliant idea and you executed it brilliantly...I love this is a card that refuses for you to retreat...it requires the eye to ‘see’ deeper! Love this and so will Vickie.

Marvellous way to use that gorgeous paper and not obscure it! The added dimension of the butterfly really makes you spend time looking (as Susan said!). Love it!

What gorgeous paper! Vickie is going to be overwhelmed by all the lovely Asian (and pink) cards coming her way. I love the tiny butterflies on this...so cute. A fabulous card Jayne!

Oooh, how pretty! The Washi paper is gorgeous and the butterflies, esp the center one, look lovely over the paper. I agree with you about not covering up the cover with a sentiment that can just as easily go inside.

This is so gorgeous. I am glad you didn't stamp over a spec of this paper. I love how the butterflies are there and you see them but they also blend into the paper so beautifully...just like nature. What a treat for Vickie to get this beauty. So glad you had that one piece left. Awesome card,
