Here's my card for today's TLC challenge which - forgive me for not linking directly but I already had to fix broken links in the challenge last night and I'm fed up with breaking links - you will find stickied at the top of the TLC challenge forum this week.
I edged each strip with a black Sharpie, and mounted them onto an A2 card base. To decorate this I used a little panda from Unity, and the bird is from Carte Postale. The bamboo is Amy Tan, cut from green card and buffed with assorted metallic and lustre rub-ons. Until he took a closer look, the panda and bamboo gave DH the illusion that I'd actually used real Japanese paper for my background .

Gorgeous work! I can understand why hubby was confused; it really does look like washi paper. Such pretty colors and the gold really gives a beautiful, shimmery highlight. Great idea framing each panel with black Sharpie - I am stealing this idea!
