Stretching the truth, as usual. This is for Wednesday's watercolor challenge: abstract no line watercolor; and for today's IC....what a design site Julie has found for us. Of course, I had to subscribe to it. Holy cow!
I struggled with this week's watercolor challenge; actually I struggled even starting it. I haven't done much no line watercolor and I didn't get how to choose a stamp. The object was to not put in all the detail so it looks more like a painting. Angie helped me get started by suggesting a floral stamp, which is usually the last thing I go for. But in the end, it didn't turn out too badly.
Then as I was looking at the IC today, I came across this Zentangle: https://www.designstack.co/2021/03/i...a-designs.html
The tangle on the left at the top reminded me of the stamp I used. So I decided to doodle a bit of the pattern on the edges in white on black. I know, a stretch but I like it. I added some tiny black dots to the flower to bring the black in there.
I have also uploaded a picture of this card with the stamp I used so you can see how much detail there is. You can still see it on the leaves but it's totally gone in the flower. I should have been looking at the stamp because I surely goofed a bit in the lower right. Ah well, que sera sera.

You really did a great job with the no line watercoloring. Thanks for sharing how you approach doing a challenge. I too, had a struggle. Like the added framing with your doodling. Thanks for joining the challenge.
