Denise has a super challenge for us today for Tickle a Teapotter. It's National Grass is Browner Day, and we are sharing reasons why the grass is actually greener on our own side of the fence. Check out the Teapot Tuesday challenge forum for all the details. And the sentiment - it's the little things that are really what there has been to enjoy, when for much of the year we have been limited to staying very close to home. The birds - we had extra visitors over a few snowy days: one day on his regular afternoon walk DH spotted a hedgehog, and came to get me: a freezer diary - I should have started one of those years ago!!!
Greener on this side of the fence...well, you might remember I featured cycling through the park to work, and the changing seasons, in another Tickle a Teapotter card last October. After 12 years of not cycling, I have enjoyed getting back to it, and even though at the start it was a choice of cycle to work or don't work, I will definitely keep it up even when I can resume using public transport again. There have been brown patches alright - not so much fun in the ice and snow, and it's mostly uphill coming home which isn't much fun on the windier days, but it's one of the greens of the last year. Along with the fact that I did still have a job.

And here you are cycling, LOL! It is all about enjoying the little things, isn’t it - getting outside amongst the flowers and listening/seeing all the lovely birds. I even coloured an image outside this morning, too beautiful a day to be indoors ~

What a special card. Super cute hedgehog cycling away. I wish I could hop on a bike and cycle away too but I doubt my knees would get me very far. I would love to try again.

Great Penny Black image and I love your greener of cycling to work. I sometimes wish I worked outside my house so I could cycle to work too but alas I just have to get up and workout at home. Super cute card Sabrina and I am glad to hear you will keep up the cycling too.

I love your card. Of course, I love the Hedgies and to put one on a bicycle is awesome. My cycling is somewhat limited because we have lots of stones on our roads around the area I live now. Most are smaller, gravel, but there are parts where the stones are big enough to upset a bicycle wheel. I do have about a 5 km section that is paved so I can ride on that a bit just for some exercise. And I'm learning to dance by just walking around the area where all of the stones are.
