I saw a video by France Martin where she put watercolor powders on Daffodil Delight. They were so vibrant and bold that I wanted to give it a try. I put orange, red, and purple Color Burst powders on wet Daffodil Delight cs and then added water to get more movement, then let it dry.
When I showed it to my daughter, she thought it looked like a sunrise or sunset which gave me the direction I took. First, I cut a stencil with the Sunburst thinlit and inked rays in Candied Apple and Fossilzed Amber distress oxide ink colors. I didn't see the rays as well as I wanted (perhaps need to re-ink those pads?) so dry embossed the Sunburst thinlit onto the paper using a rubber plumber's gasket. I meant to spray the entire panel with glitter spray, but forgot!
I colored the sentiment using Blackberry Bliss and Poppy Parade SU markers, then stamped with Versamark over the marker color and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I didn't have the right color red glitter paper, so cut a mat circle of the color I had and altered it with a Copic marker. The sentiment is popped up and I added clear sequins to finish it off.
This is my Alphabet V for vibrant. I have also entered this in this week's CAS challenged for colorful sentiment. It is a CAS card - just not a white one.
Thanks for the challenges and thanks for looking.
