This panel is for the Alpha challenge V = Vibrant/Vivid and also for the Watercolour Wednesday Challenge. Check them out.
I've recently started an art journal, one in which I can try different techniques. When I saw today's Watercolour Challenge I wanted to give it a go in my journal. The paper isn't the best quality but it's good enough for me to try out new techniques.
After painting my circles and letting the paints drip, I stamped the stitched circles using a stamp set I bought 3 years ago and love. It comes with dies too and didn't break the Bank!
I decided to doodle inside the circles with my WC marker pens and doodled strings on the lines so as to give the impression of floating balloons.
As this is my try and test journal I chose a sentiment out of my TH sticker pad and added the words painting and circles. I've recently taken a Dylusions alphabet class and this was my first attempt at writing the alphabet similar to what Dyan Reavley does. I'm pretty pleased with my first attempt.
The month was stamped and the date hand written.
I haven't been trying the Watercolour challenges for a while as I'm not that confident but attempting them in this journal makes it easier for me. It was a fun challenge.
TFL. Happy day

Your "try" at Circles is fabulous. I love the sentiments on your page. Great idea to start a journal. I love the doodled strings and spots. Good that you made a couple of the circles green for St. Pat, too!

I love this! I think you did an amazing job with your lettering! I love the colors you used. Great journal page. We hope you will join us every week because all of us are in a state of learning. It's awesome to use your journal so the pressure is off. Lydia says it's very freeing not to have a finished project, just practice, so if you ever just want to do part of a weekly WCW and show that, we would love to support your progress! Hugs!

I am so glad you jumped in to join this challenge. Your page turned out just great. I really like your printing. As for the paper I have learned what a difference better paper makes. I found a nice wc journal that has 140 weight paper and had much better luck using that. Keep painting and creating.
