Lisa is the hostess for this week's Music and Dance Teapot Tuesday challenge, and our cards are going to a friend of Contrapat's. I never even knew what contra dancing was!
I admit this challenge stumped me a bit. Music, I love and normally could make music cards till the cows come home, but to incorporate any element of dance?? I have one little ballet hedgehog and that's it. But my SIL used to do jazz ballet until a thrombosis prevented it (my favourite photo from their wedding is her dancing over the lawn with the flower girl), so I just went jazzy. Stamped the background with a spectrum pad. Stamped the jazz men over it in black. Used Gorgeous Grunge and some brown or other for the the ground. Add the sentiment and music (using another spectrum pad) and sponged the edges heavily with milled lavender.

I like the bg you made with the spectrum pad (I actually had to look up what a spectrum pad is, LOL) - it sets the dancing-in-the-streets mood! The two musicians jazzing it up reminds me of New Orleans, you definitely captured music and dance perfectly, Sabrina!

I love this stamp set. I bought it as my son plays trumpet and and was known as Bowler Hat his freshman year. This is a beautiful card to send to Sherry.

I'm lovin' your jazz card...for me, it full of nostalgia. My youngest son was a sax player in the school jazz band, and I have to say they were very good! It was such fun to travel to their competitions and relax and just listen! Love the soft background with the bold musicians and musical stream...you can just hear that music!
