I really enjoy discovering old stamps in my wood mounted stash. I don't have a good way to store them and I'm not very tidy that way anyway. But I do have a bag of various wood mounted bug/insect stamps and low and behold, here is my cicada. 2021 will be the year of the cicada for 15 states east of the Mississippi but not Wisconsin. So listen for something quite loud in about May. Cicadas have been living underground for 17 years, wingless, drinking tree sap. They're coming out to say 'hi!'
I used some dp to stamp them on (the dp is a honey comb!), stamped some vanilla cs with three different foam stamps using acrylic paint and used that for the side strip and partial circle. This is also for yesterday's sketch, which I quite like. Thanks for that.

Ah, you are always a wealth of information! Wonderful for the sketch challenge, great embossing too. Ha, that sentiment! If I was wingless and underground I would be drinking wine, lol.
