This is for our Wednesday Watercolour Challenge this week. This is the first time that I have painted the Northern Lights and I enjoyed doing it. I used Daniel Smith watercolours except for the purple, which is Winsor Newton. I mixed colours to make the black to paint the trees. I did the splatters with the Bleedproof White watercolour. Love the fingers of pink in your sky and I'm even catching just a hint of orange there, too. It really takes the blues & greens to the next level. The fan of colors is what I remember from my only time to see the northern lights so this really speaks to me.
