This was a really simple card, but it sure does pack a punch, doesn't it? It's certainly not very me, but I'm really happy with it. I have done Faux Cloisonne before because I have been trying all the technique challenges from the beginning. This was TLC48. I was a bit stumped about what stamp to use for it. The natural inclination is butterflies, but I did that last time. I LOVE the fish and seahorse that Sabrina used, but I wanted to do my own thing. Well, I needed another card for my old coworker, Tom, who is just getting home from the hospital after having major complications from Covid. My friend needed one to send too. I had this sentiment in mind, so I went looking for a good stamp to coordinate with it and also work well for the technique. Isn't this dove so perfect? And to think I've never used it before and wasn't sure how I ever would. But I kept it--just in case. Instead of using a magazine, I grabbed an old notecard out of my bin of store bought cards for upcycling. This one is covered with butterflies. Couldn't get away from the butterflies after all. The inside of the notecard was a very light blue and faintly covered in butterflies. So I used that as the background. Printed the sentiment on and then stamped a music background for a little added interest. A fun cardmaking adventure this morning.
