Happy New Years! I am sure we are all ready for that Okayer-ness to kick in ASAP right? I just love seeing exposed bricks and so, I ended up going back to this coffee art on the wall over and over again and just decided to do it. I wanted to give the coffee art some color and metallic metal look. So, I created a DOX background on the watercolor paper and that is what has the sentiment stamped on it but, the framing is just plain cardstock to have color contrast, it has some DOX inks & metallic rub-ons over it. The bricks were done softly on the edges to try to mimic an exposure from behind say dry wall and then I trimmed the panel down too much to give it that look all over. At any rate this was jump started by this piece of art here in the Fancy store Julie has shared with us this week. You can find a crop shot of the mug here on the blog and you can find this challenge here to play along with us, Thanks for this challenge Julie & tfl.

I'm going to hold your coffee cup to its prediction! What a cool distressed looking brick bg....just like in a coffee shop...which no one is sitting in these days :(

What lovely texture you achieved with your stencil and molding paste .... just the perfect backdrop for your coffee mug! You've certainly given us a great new word for 2021 .... Okayer!!
