We are sending cards to Bill who is a book lover as so many of us are...-me too! Polly's challenge was all things book related. The words to Silent Night are on the banner and it most certainly can be found in a hymnbook. I decided to make a Christmas card for Bill, since coming from Canada this will take awhile to get to him anyways. I made a simple bookmark to enclose.
I have lots of books and recently came across an essay about culling your collection. I loved this quote: ""I have the curse (mental illness?) where if I open most any random page, it will say something 'profound' to me." Ha, that happens to me as well. So of course, then I don't want to let it go. I will get this in the mail to Bill on Friday. Thanks for looking.

I too, am a lover of books, have loved reading since I was a little girl, and I thank my Mom for imparting her love of reading to me, what a great gift!!! I think that I need to send her a card to express it... Thank you, Shirl, for giving me that thought, as it's important to me to show my Mom appreciation and love.
This card is another stunner, and I love that patterned paper with words in a beautiful script from Silent Night and other Christmas phrases we love. How thoughtful to include a bookmark!!! That green sparkling Christmas star speaks of hope of finding a Savior, Jesus, and that is THE hope that keeps all of us who are seeking moving to Him. I LOVE this card and bookmark! I especially love your sentiment in green which really pops against mainly the red and white as does the sparkly star. LOVE, love, love!!! Favorited!
Blessings to you, I am sure that Bill was thrilled with this card and the gift inside that he will use and think of you when he does!
