What fun the Falliday Challenges have been! I especially enjoyed Kelly's today with the Twine Inlay. It has just the right amount of fussiness that I love. Thank you, Kelly and to Dina's tutorial!
And does it count, Dawn, to be singing Jingle Bells out loud in the studio while I create a Christmas card for your F4A challenge: Get your Jingle On! I might have a few jingle brads left I could dig out...
Dina, thank you for your brief tutorial. It was easy to pause and do and continue. My first attempt at loose watercoloring with turquoise and royal blues was a mess. Too heavy a hand on the brush! Once it was dry, I just flipped my WC paper (love Arches) and picked the pinks. I loosely spread the pigment and was much happier with how the colors moved. Once dry, I flung some Silk 'Bronze' liquid pigment (a gift from Brenda recently)! The splatters are so random...gotta love that!
The sentiment is inked with VersaMark and embossed with Ranger Copper. I added a German Scrap bow at the top of the ornament as I noticed the tiny die for the top was missing from my package. It was originally pink metallic. I thought I'd give it some Ranger 'Punch' mixed media embossing powder. The gold cord was threaded around and 'fussed with a tad'!
Thanks for inspiring me to get my act in gear and get creating Christmas cards! I am thinking of my beloved 'mom' grandmother who adored Pink and ALWAYS had a pink flocked tree at Christmas.
Thanks for the gift of your comments...

Beautiful! Your loose wc looks fab in the pink...and the silk bronze bit adds just the right touch of je ne sais quoi. Your twine ornament is perfection!
