For todays Water Color challenge Linda shared a video on making a watercolor plaid seen here:
I made two leaves today with different plaids - this one I just made up a plaid using Yellow Ochre and Black watercolor paints.
I die cut the leaf out of a panel of watercolor paper that I had made a few weeks ago for the easy white clouds challenge.
I didn't like how it came out for the cloud challenge but thought it would be a nice background for today's card with the Cerulean Blue.(unusual for a leaf I know!)
I water colored the plaid on the leaf temporarily adhering it to my craft mat with Pixie Spray to hold it in place.
I layered the leaf to a piece of black fun foam. I adhered the background to a white card base and then adhered the leaf on the foam inside the cut out.
I splattered watery white paint on both the leaf and the background.
I white embossed the sentiment on a black piece of card that I punched with the Word Window punch from SU.
My 1st card is beside this one in my gallery.
