Susie is our hostess for Teapot Tuesday this month; you can find her challenge HERE and learn why our cards are going to seven-year old Sam.
Susie suggested tent cards, which gave me the opportunity to try the recent Swinging Tent Card tutorial.
Sam likes race cars and has a beagle. No racing cars here, but surely Snoopy is the world's most famous beagle. And since Woodstock is taking a ride with him, let's assume it's Oliver or one of the scout trip shadowing them in the hot air balloon. That's the swing part - it's on a little acetate strip attached with a brad, so like a pendulum it swings from side to side across the card.
I just lost my entire write-up, so this time I'm not filling all the fields in again in case it vanishes again. Details included here.
I followed the tutorial, using a scalloped circle and broken china distress to sponge the cloudy sky on the background piece, then stamping in the foliage with peeled paint and forest moss distress, using a stamp from the Kittie Kits Garden Master.
The sun and clouds are MFT dies, the clouds are cut from glitter card and the front one has Hello stamped on it. The ray layer of the sun is embossed with D'vine Swirl, and the round layer has a little smiling face drawn on.
The Peanuts images from Stampabilities were stamped on white card, coloured with Polychromos and fussy-cut. I added a black strip to act as a road.
