The teapotters are sending cards to each other this week. Gracie is our hostess and the challenge was Open your eyes for 2020: There is beauty all around us. We are to make a card for how we felt this year. My dh and I are introverts, happy to be at home actually. I liked how quiet everything was at the beginning. I had fun getting into baking. I baked a lot of muffins among other tasty treats and shared some with a neighbour. We sure miss hugging our friends when we see them, social distancing of course, and just the general lack of freedom to come and go as we please without having to wear a mask. We have been walking daily. Got to burn some of those calories off, lol. Eyes were extra cookies. Ha, no extra cookies for me said the baker. (This fun baking set was a gift from Karen (art deco diva). Thanks again Karen.

I baked too! Once I found flour. And I am not a baker. I would never have done any baking if not for my kids. I felt that they deserved some fresh baked cookies. Isn't that an important part of childhood? I love your take on the challenge, Shirl!
Sweet memories! Thanks for sharing them! I love baking, too. I just wish it didn't go straight to my thighs and waist. My husband and I have done a lot of walking, too. Wonderful card with this set that Karen gave you.

This is charming, Shirl, and what a sweet gift from Karen. I like how you added the pinks and gingham...reminds me of my grandmothers kitchen. Take good care of your hubby and enjoy those sweet treats!

And now this card is all mine!!!!!!!! So charming! Yes, even I did some baking. I don't do a lot because I live alone and I will eat it, all alone. I have a bread machine, couldn't find the direction book, just found it a few days ago. And I have yeast, which one couldn't find for a while around here. I just baked pumpkin bread last week, it's almost gone and yes, I'm eating every bit of it. Some things I just don't share well. Thanks so much for this sweet card and the extras.
