I know this card is a bit out there, but walk with me a bit so I can maybe get you to see the inner beauty...lol...

So Jayne and probably everyone else on this site loves their geli plates and gets wonderful prints from them. I have mistreated and misunderstood mine and we just don't like each other very much. Everything goes wrong when I use it. This time I could not find my brayer. So this was made using my fingers to spread out the paint (I know it isn't the right thing to do but I wanted to play and I believed my fingers might work better to achieve the cheese plate design). I also sprinkled on some mica flakes which made those cool blank dots as they decided to fully stick to the plate. So I got done and then I pulled off the print and it was really, really ugly. Then I also could not imagine what I would do to fix it or ever use it. Then it hit me this looks like mud and crawfish love mud, and I needed a thank you card for my potential future SIL who loves crawfish.... So I set out to draw crawfish and paint it up. It is kind of ugly - I know it, but I am pretty sure he is going to love it.
Thanks for sticking with me in explaining this crazy thing. Hugz

I love your creativity! This is not ugly but perfect for your SIL. Super hand drawn crawfish! Wow! I love that you take time to experiment and always make something lovely. Even though you didn't care for your background at first, it is just what that FANTASTIC crawfish needed! Hugs

Well - I never even got a gelli plate because I didn't know what I'd ever do with the prints so bravo you for seeing through what you deemed mud and making it work for your card. Craig the Crawfish is personality PLUS . . . I love crawfish so it's unfortunate for him that even though he seems to be winking at me, If I were in the vicinity it would stilL be "off with his head"! Your future SIL will love this card!

Wow, this is so cool, Nancy! Your crawfish is amazing and looks perfect on that neat BG you created! I really like the texture and font of the die cut sentiment!

Well, crawfish aren't very pretty but he's amazing! I don't like my gel plate either and it's been put away for a very long time. This is a good one Nutzi. Great card

I normally like to see color on a card, as in different colors, but I have to admit that this mostly dark brown card is pretty interesting, Nancy. Loved your story and how this crawfish unfolded. Great drawing, by the way! He looks so realistic, and your bg is quite Perfect for his home! I'm certain he is comforted by all the mud. Lol Your future inlaw is sure to enjoy this card~

Nancy this is not an ugly card..wow look at that lobster which I’m assuming is the same as a crawfish? Awesome and the BG is full of yummy texture. It’s awesome. TFS. Happy day. Hugs
Ps...use a rolling pin or similar if you can’t find your brayer..or even an empty paper roll tube..anything that will roll lol
