It's my turn to host the WTUI challenge this week - you can find out what it's all about HERE.
I don't really make Halloween cards, and pulled out the Making Every Day Bright set with every intention of making a Christmas card - but this is what happened, when I saw the spider web light and given that I had spent the morning getting messy with a batch of gel prints including several dark woodland ones.
I used a gel print background, and added a strip of torn green, and the JoyCraft mushroom border coloured with pencils. The tree branch is from Serendipity Stamps. Then I stamped the spiderweb lightbulb on the back of the print, to cut the aperture, and again on vellum. I used a white chalk pencil to transfer the outline onto the layer of black foam which I had cut to use as a layer in between the front and the base. Then I created the circuit. I used Liquid Pearls as a hanging wire and also to create more definition around the bulb. The cap is actually an ornament cap from an old MFT set, cut from one of my tomato paste tubes. The pumpkin is 3 circles sponged, and a little tendril from Memory Box. I used Penny Black Embellishments round the edges of the base after sponging with Wild Honey distress, and added punched corners. Scary is coloured with Polychromos, and I actually stamped the mask again because I wanted to make it glittery and I thought that was the safest way. And I'm sorry, I can't send Chibitronics cards to the US :-(.

Very fun - except now that the light is lit- the spooky spider shows up!!!! Oh, my, scary woods, indeed! Absolutely delightful, Sabrina.

So cute! I love everything about this. Except that it reminds me to check my light fixtures. I've had a spider in mine a time or two. But thankfully they are usually dead.

What an adorably sweet Halloween scene Sabrina. I really want to try those lights some day. I need to find them and get them ordered or at least on my wish list so I can get my DH to get me some for Christmas.
