I didn't cover the entire heart with water to start...left spaces that would remain white. Splattered watercolor mix and gold ink when I was done with watercoloring the heart.

That rich ruby red fading out to oranges & pinks really draws me in. Well aided by the soft grey framing which certainly keeps that heart the star of the show. Love this!
