I made this card for Jacqueline to honor her great gallery and all the support she has given to me. I have not looked at the scs in ages, and here Jacqueline is being honored today.
To be honest, I started this sunflower and leaves 3 weeks ago with colored pencil, but didn't like it. I saw this card by Jacqueline and knew what to do then: MMTPT568 Sunrise, Sunset...Sunflowers by jacqueline at Splitcoaststampers. I needed to mask more flowers (thank God for the MISTI tool and my husband who cut out the masks for me), but was not up to more sunflowers so I did smaller flowers instead. Getting up at 4 am helps.
I am really proud of this card because it is the first one I have made since before July 20th.
Enjoy your well-deserved week in the spotlight Jacqueline - you deserve it!! ~ Karen.

Karen this is so pretty. I'm glad you were up to a card today. Lucky you, I don't think my dh would cut masks for me. Course he is hampered by no feeling in his fingertips. Love this.

Be still my heart! How incredibly awesome it is to see this gorgeous creation finished in Jacqueline's honor today! This is absolutely gorgeous. Love the black frame and leaving lots of white border around this. Your coloring looks awesome as usual. I love the dainty flowers you have around your sunflower. Your masking is just so good! So happy to see you back in the gallery, Karen!
