This card is for the Color Challenge this week. In Connecticut this week we have certainly experienced a changing season. We are still at the lake house and we have had a major drop in temperature, low 60 âe~s during the day which would not be too bad except we have a pretty strong north wind blowing off the lake and hitting the house strongly. We have slats underneath the house but no basement so the floors can get very cold especially at night when the temperatures have been dropping into the thirties. We have some small space heaters, but that is it! So yesterday I loaded up a carload of stamps, food and clothes to bring home, with the plan to stay through tomorrow, as it is supposed to warm up some. I checked the colors For this week and brought my Terracotta Tile pad back. My Soft Suede and Flirty Flamingo were already here. I grabbed my Colored Pencils, but no markers of any kind. I thought I had some in color paper packs here, but I was wrong. So there was a lot of make due in this card creation. I had to scrap the idea of layering my image onto a Soft Suede frame and then onto a Terracotta Tile card. So I reversed it and used a flat make up sponge to ink a layer behind my scene. It is a bit hard to see but there are punched leaves attached to the base card layer for a bit of texture. I will try to get a better picture in the morning.
