I'm playing catch up on the Alphabet challenge. This is my entry for the letter W - for watercolor! I had fun with this Watercolor Wednesday challenge to stamp with watercolors.
I had difficulty getting the water levels right for stamping with watercolors but my DD loved this panel so I proceeded.
I have been trying to build up my Christmas card stash, so I looked through my holiday stamps and decided on a snowflake card.
I started by doing a soft wash across the background using the two blues and purple that I used for the snowflakes. I followed that with stamping the individual snowflakes in their respective colors with drying in between attempts. I also added some silver/white metallic splatters when the panel was done.
I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed. Matted that panel with a thin layer of silver glitter paper and finished it with an Elegant Eggplant card base.
Thanks for looking!

This is a lovely card ... love those colors and the silver frame for the extra sparkle! Thank you for your sweet, welcoming comment on my sunflower card in my new gallery!
