I've used the triple cube tutorial but added cubes on both sides to make it a table center, in the middle you can put flowers or use it as a pencils pot, I've found some fun design papers, from a safari block, I've die cut the leaves sponged with brown and added gold paint, the 4 wooden safari animals: elephant, monkey, giraffe and lion are colored with alcohol markers.
This folds flat and is going to a young boy for his birthday.

You have a great sense of color, and what and how to mix and blend colors which I admire very much. I know what colors I like, but I have much yet to learn about which colors to use in combination, and how to blend colors. Using that deep blue is such a great grounding background especially in combination with those stunning leaves colored using golds that I absolutely LOVE.
Sending a little boy such a dimensional card for his birthday is a great idea, he will be THRILLED!!! I absolutely love this card, and how you continue to blow me away with your giant breadth of techniques, and your maturity in putting them together in a manner that LOOKS easy but is not at all. To me, true genius in any area is found when that artist has such ease in that area of artwork that it looks effortless to put together when it is not. Your work has such elegance, and I continue to be so impressed by your ingenuity in putting elements I wouldn't think of together which you do with such maturity and great beauty.
Favorited, I'd love to be a fly on the wall when this little boy receives this delightful birthday card in the mail--when he sees such beauty and then realizes that this card is 3D!!! He will be totally transfixed for sure!!!
I am listing this in my CAS Favorites later today.
Anita, this is another of so many examples of your creative genius, and I use those words very deliberately. I am in awe of your great artistry, you are a very talented artist!!!
