Today's Tea Party is for Beth in Arkansas. She is beginning chemo for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Beth likes to paint and walk on the beach with her Golden Retriever. Pat is our hostess and has challenged us to use something that we haven't used in a long time (or ever?). I pulled out this Hero Arts Violet Border stamp and stamped a background that sure looks like DP doesn't it? This stamp has been sitting on my list waiting to be used for the first time for a long time, but I just wasn't interested. I forced myself to finally use it and then I was going to get rid of it. But I really like the look of my faux DP!
I've combined this with today's color challenge. Mary's colors were almost good for coloring my sweet Mo Manning golden retriever. I used SN EB5, Copic E08, and SN GB4. They did not blend together well at all. But it's an interesting funky color that I still think is kind of neat. Dessert for the color challenge this week is sunflowers and/or your favorite green. I didn't go for sunflowers, but I did add in my favorite green (Copic YG25). Two other things that I chose to use on my card are ribbon (which I have a ton of and don't use) and 12x12 DP. I always use the smaller DP, because I don't have a great way to store my 12x12 DP and it's hard to find what I want. I was bored with this brown ribbon until I decided to stamp on it to jazz it up. I just stamped with a script stamp and heat set it.
I hope this card makes Beth smile.

Such a sweet, fun card, sure to bring a smile to Beth's face!

Jen, this is so fun with your doggie on its back and wonderful sentiment which is perfect for encouragement or any time for that matter, lol.
I found that too that SN's and copics do not blend which is weird since they are both alcohol. But your dog looks wonderful. Love the violet border dp and your main panel with the doodling. Love those two toned dots. Great idea to stamp on the ribbon too!
