Yes I was a chicken about the WCW. I stamped my poppy in Versamark and used a sparkly ep. This white watercolor piece took a lot of time, lots of drying. I was happy with the background eventually but still didn't think much of the poppy, until I made the center a bit darker and added a little bit of watered down colors on it. I used a pinky red, two yellows and a turquoise. Still pretty white, I'd say. I talk big talk about being brave, but in truth, I'm not about watercolor. This is also for today's F4A and MIX. My garden is pathetic, not my fault as my landlord couldn't care less. He freaks about dandelions in the grass but doesn't care about weeds in the garden, including dandelions. I wish I could afford to clean it up and plant it. There are two gardens I would love: one full of poppies of different colors and an all green and white garden.

Jean this is absolutely gorgeous. I know what you mean about being chicken with the WC challenge. I’m going to try it this weekend but hey based on my 4 attempts at trying to do flowers a few weeks ago, anything could happen. Love what you achieved. TFS. Happy day

Oh - I love the pretty pastel wash you did - it is so calming and your poppy seems to have picked up the same pretty rainbow of colors deep in it's veins. Nicely done!!

This is such a pretty poppy. Love all the pastel shades. I have three poppies in flower in a pot in my front court yard at the moment - red, yellow and orange. So delicate and pretty.
