Today's Featured Stamper is Lisa Foster. What a fun and fabulous gallery Lisa has. I had such fun browsing through and found this card that was perfect for me to try out one of my new Cottage Cutz dies that I got in my prize package from CC800! I was a little nervous about the fiddly bits, but I powered through and had a lot of fun making this card. Lisa's fun card was inspiring for a fun scene. I love her fluffy clouds and I started by finger painting some fluffy clouds of my own and set them aside to dry. Then I die cut the hedgehogs with Neenah Classic Crest and sponged the Distress Oxides on. The noses and eyes are done with black glaze pen to make them pop. I die cut and embossed some grass for their ground and then decided to make them a "hedge" and grabbed some Darice clouds dies that I thought made good bushes. I thought Lisa's red and black framing of her card really made it pop, so I kept that part. You know me--one of those things would've been white if left on my own. I need to embrace this black and color thing. I love the look! Thanks for the inspiration, Lisa! I heat embossed the "Sending" and cut it with my ScanNCut and then I handlettered the "Hedge-Hugs" and stamped some hearts to make it feel more finished. My hedgehogs still felt a little flat, so I added Stickles for more texture on their backs and hit up the flower with some orange and yellow Stickles too. I had a great time making this card.
