I recently came across a carved wood technique from Gina K and wanted to try it. She embossed the card stock using a stencil. However, most of my 6" stencils have duct tape around the edges, so they won't fit through my cuttlebug. I used an embossing folder instead. After embossing, the card stock is scored to get the look of boards and inked with a faux woodgrain technique.
I wove ribbon through punched holes and added thin strips of card stock on the left edge to mimic the ribbon.

Love your wood carving, Melody! I thought that was ribbon both sides! It looks great! The Faux wood technique is fun to do and it came out really great here.

Fabulous results from the technique. It does look like carved wood. Love the way you wove the ribbon and folded the paper strip. Great details! Wonderful card.
