Brenda gave us a challenge to use salt for our background. You can find the challenge here: WCW008 - 7/22/20 Watercolor Wednesday Salted Background by Benzi at Splitcoaststampers I kept it simple....used watercolor paper and coarse salt. After letting it dry and wiping off the salt, die cut the opening. Stamped image and watercolored. Added some doodling. There are three other attempts in the wastebasket. Some days you are the windshield and some days you are the bug. . TFL and hope you can join us and show your creations. Have fun.

Linda, I see what you post and somehow can't imagine you throwing anything in the trash. There is some consolation for me in all of this. The end product of your struggles is really lovely, a soothing still life in tranquil shades of blue.

I felt somewhat like the bug with this Watercolor assignment today! I got no salt marks that are visible to the naked eye. I do see the salt works of this pretty panel though. I love the color of course and the pots are great!

Oh you make me laugh, Linda! Indeed, most days I am definitely the bug at some point in my card creation. Why can't things just go smoothly? However, perseverance pays off, just as you did and your watercolored vases are gorgeous! Love the doodling too!
Thanks for your sweet comments on my CC card, it means a lot!
