Polly is hosting this weeks special teaparty for Miss Boo's friend, Robin. Polly has challenged us to use washi tape or ribbon and to send some paper love and help perk Robin up.
Robin loves dogs, nature and her favourite colour is turquoise. I hope this Vera Lane Studio sweetie and her pooch bring some smiles.
I recently started to organise my craft room, after 2 hours I said to myself, self why are you torturing yourself? I have shelved that project for another time, but I did sort my background stash into colours. My turquoise/aqua stash is huge!
I printed these images on copy paper, coloured them with Prismacolour pencils, Zest it pencil blend and a colourless blending pencil and finished with a light sponging of distress ink, then added a few Copic highlights.
I fussy cut the images and slowly went through my stash to find the right background. Sometimes I think it would be quicker to start from scratch LOL.
To tie the pink hair in, I did a lot of stenciling with pink distress inks. The little black leaves are strips of washi tape.
Thank you for looking and I hope you get a chance to send inky hugs to Robin.

Oh my!!! Susie, this is one of the most amazing cards! I love the colors (of course turquoise is one of my favorites), and the cutie pie girl and her dog are darling! But it's your coloring and the amazing background that absolutely bowl me over! What sheer delight in sitting and examining all the delicate details that make this a real joy! Robin will absolutely LOVE this card and want to sit and gaze at it as we all do!! Big, squishy hugs, sweet sis! Love you! xoxo

Oh wow, Susie, that's one cool dog! He has something of a steampunk look with that hat he's wearing. I think you found a great background in your stash, the colours are perfect and the washi tape looks fantastic on it.

Another amazing creation, Susie. The highlighted pink hair looks gorgeous. Love that you pointed out the washi tape leaves. I was so mesmerized by your background, I did not see it at first!
