Susie is our hostess for Teapot Tuesday this week - her challenge (along with a link for the tutorial I used) can be found HERE.
This is my go-to stamp for that technique, and I spent about an hour scraping all the foam off to unmount it when I was having trouble stamping it well. After colouring, I sponged with colours while still in the die, and stamped the sand from Shore Thing in green across the bottom. Looked for a suitable sentiment and came up with this one. The ladybird isn't actually one layer, I cut it out from one of the failed stampings, shaped it with a stylus and popped it on, then adding Glossy Accents.

I don't know the paper toling technique, but clearly I need to check it out. This is lovely, Sabrina! Your coloring with pencils is beautiful, I love the blending you are able to achieve with those pencils, ones I have never tried. The way you've colored the background and left a white space around the flower, it looks like light is coming around that floral image which is so neat. The spatters in brown at the bottom of the background are cool in a very artistic way, and your sentiment on top of those also looks very organic as though it was meant to be--which it was! The stitched details on the layers adds elegance, and I love the glossy corner embellishments and the glossy accents you used on the ladybug really adds dimension as well as some neat shine, I'm someone who loves using glossy accents. That brown patterned paper is just the right touch as a layer, it's so delicate and so beautiful especially in combination with your focal image. A very cool card indeed!!!
Thank you so much for leaving such a kind comment on one of my hand-stitched cards, it means a lot! I know that these cards are not at all the norm in card-making and on SCS, so it means even more that you'd leave a comment on one I uploaded recently.
I want to find out how to do this technique, will check it out and hopefully can try it. It sounds like a lot of work though--but worth it to create something so beautiful and it has such artistic flair.

I like the photo corners-nice color match to the dp and in the picture have a leather look to them.
I am liking the curled over petals and raised ladybird-which was my lesson for today. I wanted to know where "ladybird" comes from so I looked it up
