This is my entry for the Alphabet Challenge letter M. M is represented by Merry in the sentiment. I used yesterday's sketch - hey, only a day late this time! And finally tried the Double Stencil Resist tutorial found here in the tutorial section: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I decided I'd better get going on Christmas cards and that this circle stencil (sorry, I don't know the brand) would go well with the snowflake I wanted to put in the corner.
I followed the steps of the tutorial to get the background panel using three different colors of distress ink smooshed on plastic from the first card. When it was dry, I decided that Gorgeous Grape went well so that became the card base.
I die cut a partial circle from Tempting Turquoise, die cut three sizes of the snowflake and sprayed it with iridescent glitter dust adding a rhinestone to the center.
I popped up the white heat embossed sentiment. When my DH saw the two cards, he asked if I was trying to stay cool as it has been quite warm here.
Fun tutorial, sketch, and Alphabet challenges, thank you! And thank you for looking!

Gorgeous Christmas card Catherine - I am still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor. I adore these colors you used and how you tucked the snowflake into the upper corner of your card for added interest. The black sentiment panel pops so nicely off this gorgeous card too. ~Karen.
