This is my sample for the second challenge for Watercolor Wednesday. You can find it here. Forums at Splitcoaststampers
Using Dina's tutorial to water color this large stamp using my ink pads. Used the glazing technique she describes. It is were you start with the lightest color and color the image and let it dry. You then put another layer of a darker color. Continue doing this until you are happy. The only thing different I do is when finished coloring , will take a brush with clean water and dab the clean water were I want it lighter. It reactivates the ink, and then take paper toweling and dab the color off. I did mask the image when stenciling the background. It was stenciled with a blending brush from picket fence and TH peacock feathers ink pad. Added sentiment. Used my best paper for this card. Many times use cheaper water color paper.

The round stenciled BG is simply gorgeous. The star of this card on the this beautiful BG is the fantastic watercoloring/shading on these amazing flowers. What a stunning card. I would "seriously" frame this and hang it for all to see!

Wow, wow, wow, wow, WOW!!!!!!!!!!! This is beyond stunning!!! I was curious how you managed the background with the flowers, and saw that you masked off when doing the so beautiful background--I love that color and it really makes your flowers shine. Your watercoloring of those flowers is absolutely WONDERFUL!!! I have always been a big admirer of your artwork, and this one is one of my favorites of yours. What you have accomplished using these inks is truly special!
I have favorited this.
Blessings to you, how I appreciate learning from your artwork when I see it--wow!!!
