I save all the strips I cut off projects when I trim them down. Some are alcohol ink on Yupo, some are water colored, some were stamped, some were solid card stock. I chose strips that I thought went together and covered a thin piece of card stock with tape from my tape runner. I laid the strips across the paper diagonally, then trimmed them with my trimmer.
Then, I stamped the sentiment using my Misti with Versamark ink. I used my Misti to stamp it twice, then heated gold embossing powder. I also used the same embossing powder on white card stock to make a gold background. I cut both the sentiment and gold circle with Sizzix circle dies.

This is a wonderful way to use scraps. I've done this with ribbon too! I've used spray adhesive on my cardstock. It does make it a bit easier in my opinion. Love your card. I need to do this again. You have inspired me!
