This card took some time....three challenges, I guess it would. I'm very pleased with it irl, I wish you could see the background, it glows because of the Cosmic Shimmer wc paints. I'm so pleased to be participating in the new Wednesday challenge: watercoloring. Not my forte but I'll try anything.
I used yesterday's sketch and the new watercolor challenge and today's WT (bleach). Trial and error with the wc background, using acetate dipped in the DOx sprays and then the Cosmic Shimmer wc paints. Drying in between. At first it was a hot mess but it improved and then adding the shimmery paint gave it so much depth. I did two panels because I wasn't sure what I was doing so I stamped with the bleach on one of them. No idea why I got that light aqua color from the bleach but I'll take it. I also used the smallest stamp to stamp with black to give the 'flowers' or whatever they are a focal point. The three strips were created from something I tried last week with little success; putting Versamark through a stencil, using the stencil for embossing and then adding chalks. I forget what challenge that was for but I saved what I thought was a failure and cut the strips from that. Adds nice texture. I had the 'BREATHE' stamp out because I added it to the Tuesday teaparty card for Melanie before mailing it so i thought I'd add it here too. Grab what is closest!!!! My craft area in my dungeon is a mess, not just from today, and I run out of energy to clean and organize it.

Most of the time in my work the process is where the most fun is. Looks like you tried many things and came up with some amazing results, but most of all I am sure you have fun!

You did a fabulous job with this Jean. The background has so much interest and I can only imagine the shimmer. I too often wonder why I see colours and wonder where they came from. Beautiful work.

Happy you joined us this week. Like the use of the dox inks with this technique. Need to try them. Thanks for the inspiration. Really appreciate your details on making this card. Tfs
