Thank you so much Kia, Linda, Angie and Brenda for starting this fabulous weekly challenge. About the only thing I do with my water colours is pat the box (it's a gorgeous big set of Gansi Tambi).
I am so excited to learn about water colouring from all of you wonderful, talented ladies.
You can tell I am taking this new adventure seriously, I used genuine (not my el cheapo) watercolour paper. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to use the rough side or the smooth side - so I did both - the rough side look best, although perhaps a bit dark.
The smooshing is with acetate and distress inks and the gold is Gansi Tambi water colours. I had fun with this and can't wait to see what comes next.
Thank you for looking.
Edit: I purposely over heated the modelling paste so it would bubble up a bit and resemble the texture of the cardstock.
EDIT: I just read Marg's comment plus I have had a few PM's about the centre of the flower. It is just modelling paste (applied thickly), then over heated with the hot gun until the paste bubbles up.

So glad you joined our challenge....your card is stunning. This technique reminded me of you, and your smooshing with the foil. Love the use of the stencil. Striking card. Hugs

Wowsers! This is splendid! I am so wanting to try this technique but my kitchen reno has closed down my crafting space. Maybe I should turf the food and toaster oven and give it a try anyways! :-)
