It's Tickle a Teapotter time and Susan is our hostess this month! Susan has introduced us to Mary Delany's art and challenged us to make a floral mosaick in our own style. That's a tough one for me, Susan! It's also Challenge Your Stash day and Joyce has challenged us to use a flower stamp that has never seen ink before. Everyone is conspiring against me today to make me use flowers. Do I have my own flower style? I realized as I was watching the video of Mary Delany's work that I was not about to put my flowers on a black background--that is definitely not my style. Nope, my style is bright colors and lots of patterns. So I printed out this lovely Tiddly Inks digi that I was so enthusiastic about buying and never actually used and went big with some of my brightest pinks and greens. Then I went looking for some floral DP to go with it, but I don't really have a lot of floral DP. But I did have this fun paper with globes and flowers and thought it was a nice way to represent our teapotters around the world. I did mute the flowers a little bit with colored pencil and some Antique Linen brushed over it to bring the colors down to the level of the DP. Then I found a perfect sentiment stamp--one that my friend gave me for Christmas and stamped it in green and black. For some reason the green turned black in the photo, but I promise those large words are green. Finished off with some Nuvo Dream Drops on the flowers and a few iridescent sequins for bling. Flowers aren't me, but in the end this card does feel like me. I had fun making it and I hope the receiving teapotter enjoys it!

I love your around the world tribute with the globes in the bg. Really neat sentiment - One I've never seen before and your blooms . . .the colors are bright and glorious just as our inspiration Ms. Delaney would have wanted.

Jen I love how all this came together. I think you and I are the only two people in Splitcoaststamperville who don't own a big stash of floral stamps. Your colouring is fabulous and the design is true "Jen al la Mary Delany" style.

WOWER!!! great job Jen.....like you I have trouble using flowers......but I did it and forgot to take a photo but mailed it to a neighbor down the street whom I have never met......I clipped a message to her front door screen the first week of this stay at home thing....saying I would be glad to help her obtain groceries or anything if she wasn't comfortable going out...gave her my name, phone # and told her which house was mine. I have seen her and her husband going out in their yard to work and they both seem frail.....evidently her husband is either not living at home anymore or has passed away as she said she is by herself. But she has a daughter/son combo who check on her every day. We agreed to meet in real life after this mess is finished.
