Susan is our guest hostess for this week's Teapot Tuesday challenge, which you can find HERE.
She'd told me flower collage and I was waiting to read the challenge post before deciding where to go - but when my sister sent me the most beautiful wrapping paper (around a gift), I knew what I was going to do. I'll add a photo of the wrapping paper in the challenge thread.
I spent an hour or so snipping away at the paper and amassed a collection of flowers and leaves (and I used some of it on my third acrylic pour card too). DH requested that enough be left intact for him to make an origami vase from.
I brayered a piece of white card with black acrylic (because I wanted a little more texture and feel than just using black card) and when dry, stamped it with the Crackled Paint backgrounder using Delicata gold.
Then I arranged the flowers, and stuck them down with collage medium. Some of them are popped up a bit, I used Pinflair glue because DH had been using some on a repair job on his motorbike, and there was still some left in the syringe that I wanted to use up. I added a gold frame, and then finished it off with a couple of ladybirds cut from glossy black and red glitter paper.

Outstanding! You’ve really captured the essence of Mary’s art in your creation. I’m impressed with your fussy cutting skills...it was well worth it though. Love this!!!

Sabrina, this is absolutely breathtaking! These incredible flowers look amazing on your gold crackle black background. The variety and arrangement of these flowers is so pleasing to the eye Sabrina. I am both really impressed and really inspired. ~Karen.

OMG, Sabrina. This is a super card. The textured bg is so gorgeous with those bright flowers which you have arranged beautifully. This really makes me want to make a mixed media flower card. I go back to work on Monday, even though the death toll keeps rising in the US. For most of my time off I have been battling migrains and have not done anything that I wanted to do. You have been on creativfe overload. I always love to just wander through your gallery.

I'm at a loss for words trying to react to this card...gobsmacked comes to mind if I'm using that term correctly. Love how the background sets off those flowers, it all just works.

This card is just gorgeous. What a wonderful flower garden - right down to the delightful little lady bugs hunting aphids amongst the blooms. So cheerful on this gloomy, sleety and cold day here.

Absolutely gorgeous. You must have been so inspired when you received this giftwrap! Love the stitched gold frame. It makes me think this is a painting to hang on the wall. The black and gold background gives an old world touch. Just lovely!

Wow, this is gorgeous, Sabrina. Impressive snipping and arranging. Gold crackle on the black adds to the vintage feel. Wonderful tribute to Mary Delany.
