I'm late getting to the dance this week at the Teapot Challenge. But thank you, Diane for a simple, but interesting sketch. Anything that gets me into my Washi tape stash is a good thing! And that structure gave me the backbone I needed to complete my card. Thanks to Lisa, who is hosting the TPT this week. She asked for Cutting Up. Fussing Cutting or Cutting a Rug on the Dance Floor, just bring scissors!
Our cards this week are going out to someone who LOVES Contra Dancing and her precious little girls. I have to admit I've really struggled creating this card. There is an inadequate supply of sentiments for the situation this young mother finds herself in. And for that I've drug my heels not having the perfect saying. But I've also been thinking...how would I feel, what would I want so close, barring a miracle?
And I think that answer is to live doing the things I love. How about you? I went searching what exactly Contra Dancing was. I mean it sounded like it might be 'like' Square Dancing'. . I hope you have time to check it out. I came away joyful and hopeful. And I hope Katherine will be able to join her friends and cut a large rug!
She, not knowing, has taught me something about dancing and the joy therein. May this card be a joy break.
Thanks for stopping by. I am off to the galleries.

What a fantastic card this is for Katherine and one that will bring a big smile to her face. Even though facing a major illness like Katherine is, she will still want to smile and laugh and dance so you really dug deep Susan when making this card. I struggled to make a card for Katherine too, but you are right, living is the right choice and she has fond memories of contra dancing, so this gorgeous card will evoke those good feelings. This card design, the colors you chose, the sentiment and the bit of bling make for a truly stellar card for Katherine. Big hugs! ~Karen.

Fabulous take on the sketch! Love your creative idea for the Teapotters challenge. Cutting a rug on the dance floor is beautifully illustrated with the image. Love the colors, washi tape and papers. Great card. Thanks for the fun video. Thanks for joining in with the Sketch Challenge.
