I have the honour of being the Guest Hostess for this month's 'Tickle' Challenge - Covered.
I chose a book I am about to read called 'The Lace Weaver' by Lauren Chater, which was recommended to me. It says on the cover - A Haunting tale of love and war ... and saving a precious legacy.
The cover is split in two like my card and has the face of a lady down the right had side. I tore the edge of the smoky slate c/s and then sponged the edge of this and the edges of image with Pumice Stone ink. Stamped the branches in versamark and heat embossed with white EP. Used white acrylic paint to add the splotches above the embossed area. Then added the ribbon and black sticker letters for the sentiment.
TFL!

Hey, Sue...I can't believe I missed commenting on your card! What a fun challenge, by the way. I love your split front...the lady is most intriguing and vibrant.
