Today's inspiration site is Ellen Huston - so much cool stuff there. My inspiration came from the colors in this watercolor look Paper pack especially the pinks and blues that can morph into purple with a hit of green. I was also heavily influenced by current events and a vision that has been haunting my brain that I wanted to try and put to paper.
Since I am not really "artistic", I started by stamping the Judykins facial features (eyes, nose & mouth) with Gina K Jet Black Amalgam ink - Then started adding bits of watercolor and letting the pinks & blues run but, at least in part, trying to control where the fleshtones fell to give the illusion of a full face. I cut my art piece with a deckle edged die then sponged Bottle Green around the edge and used my aquapen to drag some of that color inward. I felt compelled to wrap my painting in a spiderweb of royal blue thread ( I think it gives a bit of a fractured feeling without obscuring the sadness) and adhered to a beige cardbase that had been stamped with pink & blue spatters.

You are amazing, Linda and this is a beautiful and innovative use of this face stamp. Totally fav'd. Now, please repeat after me, "I am an artist". Repeat again and add, "Designers are artists".

You are, indeed, extremely artistic, Linda. You've expressed the confusion and chaos a lot of us are feeling right now in this amazing art piece. It's full of emotion, but not somber. Love the gorgeous colors.
