Hi friends,
I have to start with, I could kill my reddish brown pens, they were REALLY acting up today, almost tempted to throw them away and start over. I even changed the nib on one and it is still gunky!! My poor horse suffered the consequences!! This is totally me in the image (well, a young me, LOL!)
From my first memory I loved horses and wanted horses. My dad was a horseman and in fact was in the horse Cavalry before WWII then when the war started he joined the Navy.
Anyway, seems I was born with horses in my soul.
So my card today is sort of like my first horse (he was a stinker) My last horse was my love, he was reddish too but also had a red mane as well. He used to do a soft whiney when I would come down. He'd follow me around too...we loved each other.
Unfortunately I developed arthritis in my lower back and was unable to ride any more about 10 years ago so we had to give our horses to someone who would ride them, my hubby said it wasn't fair to keep them like pets.
I miss putting my nose in Doc's neck and just smelling him. I miss that soft whiney talk. I miss being one with him when I rode but I do still have my memories!!
Thanks for looking!

there is nothing wrong with your coloring. Little you and your horse looks so real. I rode a horse once and the saddle wasn't on properly so I fell off while the horse was walking!!! Never again! Love your easel card. I'm sure it brought fond memories.
