With thanks to Di for both the paper and the buttons. DH really liked this, he thinks it's one of the best cards I've made, which left me feeling a bit miffed because there is so little to it. Except that it's one of those CAS designs which took several takes to get right....
I went looking through my button box, and had originally pulled out some other ones and then spotted these, and the design came together in my head. I cut strips to match each button from the corresponding paper, and then used circle punches to cut the ends. Laid them out on the card and added score lines, leaving room for my only vertical sentiment. Stuck the buttons on with hot glue, and added it to a base covered with a more solid design from the same pack of papers.

This really is a great looking card! I think this is the best use of this technique I've seen, where the shape is fit into the end of the vertical layers.

Sabrina, this is so cool! Buttons that match paper! I'm with everybody else, you have some really awesome cards in your gallery. But, you know, men are from Mars!

It’s a great card and I love the papers and buttons but I would be miffed too. Hubbys always seem to prefer less on crafty projects lol. Your cards are stunning. TFS. Happy day

I think it's gorgeous! I know what you mean about CAS designs sometimes taking a couple attempts to get just how you want it. Love the matching paper strips and buttons, so clever!
