you'll probably find me knitting! And with the very same colors as Mary has chosen for this weeks Color Challenge. Gorgeous Grape, Mint Macaron, Highland Heather are like a hint of Spring, wouldn't you say?
I created my background by using three close shades of Brushos (Purple, Violet, and Sea Green). I sprinkled the WC powders first and then spritzed with water. Used a wet wipe to dab the pooled colors. When I had a bit of color on the wipe, I took it over to another piece of watercolor paper and made large loose swipes of the colors...with the heather at the bottom, the macaron in the middle and finally the grape at the top. Once dry, I cut thin stripes of each color and then assembled them back together so I could stamp this fun Technique Junkie knitting image.
It was embossed with the 'Detail' Clear ep.
The basket is an unknown unmounted image. It was stamped with the 'Espresso' ink and I fussy cut the openings around the top. Into the basket was stuffed grape roving and some tiny 'balls of yarn' in the pretty macaron. I place a pair of knitting needles in the basket too.
This card is going postal tomorrow to my knitting friend, whom, my husband affectionately calls my knitting Yoda! She really is a mentor in that way...always happy to help me get unstuck or back on track. And I forgot to mention, I made three backgrounds from my Brusho encounter this morning. One more tie-dyed~ish with the original sprinkling and misting and another more of the solid array of color.
Thank you, for stopping by. I have really enjoyed the Color Challenges this month.

Your knitting friend is going to love this fabulous card! Like me, she will probably stash it somewhere as a reminder of how wonderful it is to have those "soul sisters" that have connected only by the grace of God allowing them to cross our paths in such wonderful and mysterious ways.
