I'm very late uploading this card although I have had it done for a day or two.
It is primarily for the Teapot challenge and because it is the end of the month we are sending cards to each other. I will be posting this one tomorrow.
I decided to add it to the Technique Challenge with a little faux stitching on the bottom border bar, only an hour or two to go before this weeks technique will be up so just squeezing in.
I have also used the colour challenge colours for this past week, twenty four hours to go before that one is up. Likewise the teapot challenge.
As I have said before, I'm not all that good with fancy folds etc. so I kept it simple.
I have seen this sketch somewhere minus the fold and really liked it. I think it suits the colours without making the card too heavy.
I did the quote (it's from Eleanor Roosevelt) in silver leaving quite a bit of black card to the side; I then printed the digi image from Power Poppy, I wanted a big flower and Marcella's Flouncy Peony was perfect.
The most time consuming part of this card was the water colouring. I have found that if I want to use digis and print them off this is the best card for the job. It will take a reasonable amount of water if your not saturating the card, the printer ink don't bleed and it has a very nice shimmery sparkle to it.
I measured it all up using the red matting as a guide then cut both the quote and the Peony together to give me a flush join which ended up being perfect but then I decided to bling it up with some ribbon. lol
Hope my tickle from the Teapotters likes it.
Thanks for looking cheers Marg

Marge, such a lovely card and covering all those challenges...bonus when that happens! Your coloring is beautiful...such a prima Donna in the flower world.
I, also, am praying for all our Aussie mates for safety, health, and an end to this tragedy.
